Benjamin Thomas raised to 190,000 out of the small blind and La La Sengphet called in the big blind. On a flop of 10d6c4d, Thomas check-called for 150,000 and then jammed the 9d turn for 590,000. That sent Sengphet deep into the tank and she eventually called.
“I don’t really want the call,” Thomas said as he rolled over the 4h4s for a set and was seemingly afraid of a draw that may get there. However, Sengphet only had the Ah6h and the Jc river was a formality as Thomas doubled into a narrow lead.
