Heads-up play barely brought any flops and the standard raises for both players were slightly different. Gary Lapier preferred the open to 100,000 while Eric van der Burg picked 60,000 instead. Most of the time, an instant fold of the opponent followed except for once when Lapier three-bet shoved.
Van der Burg gave it some thought and folded. After the hand he asked his opponent what cards he held and Lapier replied “pocket aces” with a big smile on the face.
