WSOPC Ring Event #10: $1,700 NLHE Main Event
Level 22: Blinds 8,000 – 16,000 / BBA 16,000
14 / 256 Players Remaining
The action kicked off with a raise to 42,000 by Gaetan Balleur from under the gun and Alfonso Cammarota called in the hijack. Benjamin Thomas three-bet to 168,000 in the small blind for Balleur to fold and Cammarota to call after very brief consideration.
On a flop of 6c6s5d, Thomas continued for 95,000 and Cammarota then raised to 250,000. Thomas tanked for nearly two minutes before calling and the 10c on the turn was checked through. Thomas then pushed on the 5s river and Cammarota immediately cursed and leaned back in his chair.
Yet another tank followed and Cammarota did call it off eventually.
Thomas rolled over the KsKh and Cammarota gasped a quick “shit” before flinging his cards into the muck. According to the all-in showdown rule, the 10s9s were exposed and both stacks were counted. Thomas had 546,000 at his disposal and Cammarota was covered by just 6,000 to bow out in 15th place.
Benjamin Thomas – 2,100,000
Gaetan Balleur – 750,000
Alfonso Cammarota – Eliminated in 15th Place ($5,800)
