Prior to the hand, Benjamin Thomas was chipped down to around 1.7 million and raised to 250,000 on the button. La La Sengphet called from the big blind and both players checked the Kh5s3d flop. Sengphet bet the Qh turn for 150,000 and earned a call by Thomas, who now had 1.3 million behind.
The 10h fell on the river and Sengphet bet 600,000. Thomas asked for the bet sizing and started breathing heavily. Some 30 seconds passed and he then moved all-in to get snap-called within one second.
“Oh damn,” Thomas immediately said and knew he was caught with a move, exposing the Ah9c for ace-high with the nut flush blocker. Sengphet tabled the 8h4h for a flush and earned her sixth WSOPC ring.
Benjamin Thomas – Eliminated in 2nd Place ($9,000)
La La Sengphet – Winner ($15,000)
