Michael Lech defended the big blind against a cutoff raise by Elvis Mercera and check-called the Kc3d3d flop for 40,000. The Ad turn was checked and Lech bet the Ah river for 40,000. Mercera sigh-called and mucked when Lech tabled the 8s3s for treys full of aces.
One hand later, Lech stuck around from the small blind following a button raise by Ljubomir Josipovic. Lech check-raised the 10h5h4d flop from 36,000 to 100,000, which forced out Josipovic.
Mercera then got it in for 92,000 with the JsJd and Karthik Ramakrishnan looked him up with the inferior 6s6d. The Qh7h5h9h9s board kept Mercera in contention as neither player had a heart in their hand.
